Day 1 to 2 Welcome to Buenos Aires, Argentina

Fly to Buenos Aires and arrive in Argentina’s vibrant capital. Spend two nights at the elegant Palacio Duhau - Park Hyatt Buenos Aires in the traditional Recoleta neighbourhood, perfectly located for you to explore the many wonders of the city known as ‘the Paris of South America.’  Discover Buenos Aires’ rich history and colourful culture on a half-day tour and enjoy a thrilling evening of dinner and dancing at an iconic tango house before travelling out of the city to spend time in the traditional ‘gaucho’ town of San Antonio de Areco on your second day in the city.

Day 3 to 4 Ushuaia, Argentina

Fly to the city of Ushuaia, located at the southernmost tip of Argentina and gateway to the frozen wonderland of Antarctica. An excursion to Tierra del Fuego National Park reveals spectacular views and wonderful wildlife and you have the option to join a catamaran cruise on the Beagle Channel.  Later, embark on the expedition ship where a welcome dinner celebrates the beginning of what is sure to be the most memorable of journeys. 

Day 5 to 6 Drake Passage

Heading away from Argentina across the Drake Passage towards Antarctica, you can spend the next few days listening to some of the ship’s lecture programme, or simply relaxing on board as you travel.  

Day 7 to 10 Antarctic Peninsula

Enjoy four days exploring this pristine frozen paradise, discovering the western side of the Antarctic Peninsula and the South Shetland Islands. Get close to spectacular ice cliffs and grounded icebergs, visit penguin rookeries, discover historic huts, and walk to vantage points to gaze in wonder at the breathtaking landscapes. When you’re not out exploring, the ship’s observation lounge is the perfect place to sit back and soak up the views while scanning the horizon for unique Antarctic wildlife.  

Day 11 to 12 Day at Sea

On day 13, the rugged island of South Georgia emerges from the icy waters ahead of you. A small island, but with a 3,000 m (9,842 ft) snow-capped mountain range, abundant wildlife, and a fascinating history, South Georgia is an island that is sure to excite you. Join Zodiac cruises along the rocky coastline and spend time on shore visiting some of the largest king penguin colonies in the world.

Day 20 to 21 The Falkland Islands

Day 20 to 21The Falkland Islands

Consisting of two large islands (East and West Falkland), and over 700 islands scattered off the coast, all but seven of which are uninhabited, the Falkland Islands are beautifully barren and true wildlife havens. Join Zodiac cruises for landings to visit albatross colonies and penguin rookeries as well as cruise into rocky coves or along sea cliffs, keeping watch for seals, sea lions, dolphins and penguins. There may be a chance to explore historic Stanley, the capital of the islands, with its distinctly British feel.

Day 23 to 24Ushuaia

An early cruise up the Beagle Channel brings you back to the dock in Ushuaia ready for a morning disembarkation. Transfer to the airport for your flight north to Buenos Aires, where you will return to Palacio Duhau - Park Hyatt Buenos Aires for a night before your international flight the next day.
