I started my travel career 27 years ago working for British Airways in their call centre in Glasgow. After a year I moved to London where I was given the opportunity to complete a three-year management course where I worked 6 months in different departments across the business including cabin crew, airport check-in/ticketing, revenue management and sales where I got a fully rounded view of what customers expect when travelling. I settled in the sales department where I spent 2 years as account manager for BA managing the relationships with key long-haul tour operators across the country before making the move back home to Scotland. I then spent 10 years working for Gold Medal Travel setting up a sales support department for the first year where I then went out on the road driving business across the country with independent travel agents and left them holding the role of Head of Sales. I moved to Travel2 where I spent a further seven years as Head of Sales managing a team of 10 business development managers. Through my 27 years in travel, I feel I have gained valuable experience across the trade understanding what luxury means to our agent partners and how we can support them and their customers to ensure we deliver a 5 Star experience throughout their booking journey and holiday
