Top breaks for your family getaway this Easter...

Christmas may have only been a few weeks ago, but with the dreary weather welcoming in 2024 and the blank calendars staring you down, it's no surprise that January is a popular month to start planning your family holidays.

This year, Easter is landing early, with Easter Sunday 2024 being the 31st of March. Whilst this means many kids will be rejoicing at the short term times, it also means that it's 'the earlier the better' when it comes to booking your Easter holiday. So here are some of our family favourites that are worth booking early for.

The Ritz-Carlton, Abama

TENERIFE

Villa Pool - Family
The Ritz-Carlton Tenerife, Abama is a west coast resort that benefits from Tenerife's favourable year-round temperatures. Its sunny shores and short-haul travel time make it an ideal escape this Easter and its string of exclusive features an array of family facilities. From the hugely popular Ritz Kidz club that lets little ones adventure through locally-inspired activities to the family pool and babysitting service, this resort is sure to be a hit with the children (and the parents who get to have the perfect mix of family time and peace and quiet whilst away!).

Saint Peter's Bay

BARBADOS

Kayaking Along the Shoreline
Home to beautiful beaches, wildlife adventures and spacious stays, Saint Peter's Bay is a great go-to for a family beach holiday if you have older kids. Its collection of meticulously styled one, two and three-bedroom residences means that no matter how large your family, everyone can have a space to retreat to. And when it comes to moments together, you can all come together for breakfast on the terrace, head down to the pool or embrace your adventurous side as you sail, snorkel or paddleboard in the Caribbean Sea.

Columbia Beach Resort

CYPRUS

Columbia Beach Resort views
Nestled along the serene expanse of Pissouri Bay's two-kilometre shoreline, Columbia Beach Resort is embraced by the breathtaking scenery of pristine white cliffs and untouched countryside. Basking in the splendour of the Mediterranean, family-friendly facilities seamlessly merge with the surrounding natural wonders, creating a cherished destination for a family escape. Parents will love the dedicated family suites, complete with pre-orderable products like nappies and baby wipes thanks to BabyEase, and dedicated spaces for kids, whilst the kids themselves can find new friends at the Den Kid's Club, try out some exciting activities and even learn to swim!

Seaside Palm Beach

GRAN CANARIA

Children's Pool
Just a short, direct flight away from the dreary day-to-day is Gran Canaria, with an incredible (and dependable) climate and vast sandy beaches. But if that's not enough to convince you that this is a fabulous spot for some Easter sunshine, Gran Canaria's first member of the esteemed Design Hotels - Seaside Palm Beach - will. This colourful stay offers a playground of family adventures, with two kids' pools, a whole load of sports and outdoor games and restaurants to please all palettes.

The Ritz-Carlton Dubai

DUBAI

Family Swimming Pool
March in Dubai sees long, sunny days, meaning blue skies, warm weather and plenty of time to enjoy the Easter holidays. It's one of the best times to visit, and when that lines up with the school holidays it couldn't be more perfect! You won't need much convincing when it comes to staying at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai; dedicated family rooms and family suites that promise legendary Ritz-Carlton hospitality, the Ritz Kids Club with a daily programme featuring activities based on four concepts - water, land, environmental responsibility and culture - as well as a year-round kids stay for free offer - and of course the pristine beach that blends relaxation with the opulence and vibrancy of Dubai.

Mandarin Oriental, Canouan

ST VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES

Plunge pool
Canouan Island is becoming one of the Caribbean's most sought-after luxury destinations, remote enough to feel like a true getaway whilst being easily reachable and abounds with high-end facilities. At Mandarin Oriental, Canouan, expect to make loads of magical memories together no matter how old your kids are. Enjoy a beach barbecue under the stars, dive into non-motorised watersports like snorkelling and kayaking, find shaded solace on a pool cabana or let the kids run wild at the complimentary Kids' Club that's open all year round.

Six Senses Kanuhura

THE MALDIVES

The kids are off school, but with buzzing minds and mounds of energy, their learning and discovery don't have to stop. Six Senses Kanuhura, whilst offering a dreamy escape for adults, will keep kids entertained with activities that awaken everyone's appreciation for nature. Family cooking classes go that step further by using ingredients grown on-site, diving lessons bring you together to share the wonders of an underwater world, and you can watch the faces of your children light up with awe on a magical dolphin excursion.

The Landings Resort and Spa

ST LUCIA

Family Watersports
St Lucia is another destination that benefits from incredible weather over the Easter break. The warm and dry days make it so easy for kids to get outside and adventure through paradise. And this sun-dappled setting is well paired with the villa living of The Landings Resort and Spa. Welcoming kids of all ages, offering spacious villa suites (some even come with their own private plunge pool) and amazing opportunities to zip-line through rainforests or walk underwater, this all-inclusive resort will be the base of a holiday to remember.

Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita

MAURITIUS

Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita Family Beach Retreat
Your kids will have plenty to tell their friends about when they come back from an Easter escape at Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita! This all-pool villa retreat is made to entertain little ones and impress adults. Families will have an abundance of activities at their fingertips that bring everyone together, from boat trips and golf lessons to private barbecues. Grand Velas Riviera Maya

MEXICO

Kids Activites
Just five minutes from Playa del Carmen, on Mexico's stunning Caribbean coast, Grand Velas Riviera Maya is a playful, vibrant and all-inclusive resort that awaits families with an unforgettable stay. Here, Mexico's most admired coast is yours to discover, but so is the country's intriguing heritage. And whilst there may be plenty of experiences and spaces to enjoy as a family, from the sun-dappled pools to the family-friendly restaurants, the private kids' and teens' clubs let your children enjoy the holiday of a lifetime.

Half Moon

JAMAICA

With two private beaches and true Jamaican hospitality, Half Moon is a characterful resort on Jamaica's Montego Bay that is more family-first than family-friendly. The Anancy's Children Village really is the star of the show; a whole village filled with fun and new friends. Children's menus make sure that they're well-fuelled for the adventures ahead, and when it comes to accommodation, there's plenty of choice for spacious suites, interconnecting rooms and extra beds. There's even an equestrian centre that welcomes all abilities!
