End your tour as you practice your barista skills at The Coffee Lab, a contemporary café that also offers coffee-making courses.

After settling into your boutique hotel (or pousada in Brazil), head out on a walking tour of Paraty with a historian. Stroll down the cobbled streets passing dozens of churches, learning more about how the town was built to serve the Portuguese crown, and greatly influenced by the freemasons and the gold rush. Spend a day in the bay of Paraty on board a private fishing boat, heading towards several beautiful islands and stopping to swim or snorkel in the clear waters. A full-day excursion with a private guide will show you the city’s most famous sights – including the Corcovado Mountain and the striking Christ the Redeemer statue, along with the historic city centre, before reaching Sugarloaf Mountain in time for sunset. Explore the iconic beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana and the Botanical Gardens by bicycle, before visiting the famous Samba School Headquarters for the ultimate carnival experience. Learn about the history of samba, practice the dance moves and take a percussion class, followed by a refreshing caipirinha, Brazil’s national cocktail.

Head down the Macuco jeep trail through the lush jungle, before arriving on the banks of the Iguazu River. In a safe open boat with an outboard engine, you’ll cruise up through the Iguazu Canyon, enjoying a truly unforgettable perspective of the falls. If the level of the river is favourable, you can even get right next to them! The falls actually cross the border of Brazil into Argentina, and you can experience the Argentinian side with a trip to the Iguazu Falls National Park. Board a scenic train to the “Devil’s Throat”, a torrential and wonderfully wild part of the waterfalls. On your last day, you will fly back to the UK.

Half Day Walking Tour

Following meeting at Girassol Street, begin your tour by walking to Beco do Batman, a narrow alley that has become iconic after Brazilian street artist Kobra decorated its walls with his bold drawings. Proceed to meet another graffiti-filled alley, as well as the street artists’ galleries such as Mundano and Marina Zumi. There will also be time for a quick stop at The Coffee Lab, a contemporary café that also offers coffee-making courses if you wish to try your hand at being a barista!

The History of Paraty
Half Day Walking Tour

Accompanied by a local historian, explore the cobbled streets of fascinating Paraty, where you'll pass by dozens of astounding churches. You will also learn more about how the town was built to serve the Portuguese crown and its role in Brazilian history, including how it was greatly influenced by the freemasons and the gold rush many years ago.

Paraty - A Day in the Bay
Boat Tour with Guide and Captain

Board a regional fishing boat - complete with guide and captain - from a nearby pier and navigate to Praia Vermelha, before heading towards Cotia and Algodão islands. There will be plenty of time to swim and snorkel as you make strategic stops in scenic locations including Saco da Velha, before choosing which local restaurant to dine in, where you'll savour the catch of the day! If you're feeling adventurous, ask your guide to take you to the Pão de Açúcar hilltop, where a one hour walk leads you to breathtaking views over the Mamanguá fjord.

Graúna Waterfalls & Cachaça Tasting
Full Day Tour

Following a short Jeep transfer from Paraty, you'll arrive at the Graúna region's waterfalls. A short five-minute trek leads you to the first falls, while a further 20 minutes will see you arrive at a second. Once you've experienced the delights of the rainforest, hop back aboard your Jeep for your transfer to Engenho D’ouro cachaça distillery. Sample a taste of the owner's homemade cachaça - made from local sugar canes - before having lunch at Le Gite, which has its very own waterfall, idyllic for a post-lunch swim. Before returning to Paraty, stop by another local distillery to meet Maria Izabel, who produces one of Brazil's best cachaça single-handedly in her seaside residence.

Rio Essentials
Full day Tour

A great option for those who don't have much time in the city, this is a brilliant sightseeing tour of the most famous attractions in Rio. The first stop is the Corcovado Mountain and the statue of Christ the Redeemer, probably the most well-known symbol of Rio and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Reach the mountain top in a small electric train through lush vegetation. Afterwards, walk through the bohemian and picturesque Santa Teresa neighbourhood and stop for lunch in one of the great restaurants of the area. Continue to the historic centre of Rio, where your guide will share facts and curiosities of the city's history. End the day at Sugarloaf Mountain, one of the very best places to watch the sunset in Rio.

Rio De Janeiro By Bike
Half Day Tour

Get a glimpse of the city's rhymthm with a light bike ride through Rio de Janeiro. Explore the full length of both Ipanema beach and Copacabana beach with your English-speaking guide, before continuing to the beautiful Botanical Gardens. Created in the 19th Century by the Emperor Pedro II, the gardens are home to a bewildering collection of enticing and exotic flora.

Colourful Carnival Experience in Rio de Janeiro
Half Day Tour

Prepare to be immersed in the vibrant spirit of Brazil as you pay a visit to the famous Samba School Headquarters. You'll have the chance to learn about the history of samba and carnivals, before trying on the costumes and practicing the dance moves for an authentic feeling of what carnival is really like! Round off your visit with a well-deserved caipirinha, Brazil's national cocktail.

Macuco Jeep and Boat Safari
Walking and Boat Tour

Begin with a one-kilometre trek through the lush forest, where you’ll come across some tropical fauna and flora, before you see the sight of the free-flowing falls. You can then efficiently head back up to the road via the elevator to continue the rest of your tour. Continue the adventure on the Macuco Jeep trail as you venture 600m through the forest and visit the small Macuco Falls, before arriving on the banks of the Iguazu River. Here, the best part of the tour begins: a boat ride upriver. In safe open boats with outboard engines, you’ll cruise up through the Iguazu Canyon, where you'll enjoy an unforgettable perspective of the falls. If the level of the river is favourable, your guide will take you up closer! 

Exploring Iguazu Falls National Park
Full Day Tour

Once you have been collected from your hotel, your guide will drive you to the Argentinean side of Iguazu Falls National Park. Upon arrival, take a short walk before boarding the train to the Devil’s Throat station, along the Iguazu River. A new 1000m long footbridge leads to the spectacle of the Devil’s Throat, a torrential part of the falls, while upon returning to Cataratas Station, you're free to venture along the pathways and bridges that take you up close to the falls for a fantastic photo opportunity!
