Day 1 to 3 Accommodation

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and enjoy a three-night stay at the luxurious Caravelle Saigon, situated in the bustling heart of Vietnam’s largest city. Discover historic landmarks alongside ultra-modern malls, refuelling on mouthwatering street food as you explore.

Day 4 Accommodation

Embark on your Mekong River Cruise

Board your deluxe river cruiser, the Aqua Mekong, and settle into your river-facing suite, complete with panoramic windows to watch the ever-changing scenery and colourful culture along the banks.

Day 5

Binh Thanh/Sa Dec – My An Hung, Vietnam

Visit Binh Thanh village, known for its traditional weaving, and cycle through the local landscape, passing bustling markets, fruit plantations and fish farms as you explore. Alternatively, accompany the boat’s chef to the market in the river port of Sa Dec before visiting its historical buildings and pagodas.

Later, meet local villagers to sample some of the flavoursome fruit from their plantations and enjoy a performance of traditional song and dance.

Day 6

Chau Doc – Vinh Xuong – Ka’Om Samnor Border, Cambodia

Travel by skiff along Bassac Canal to the vibrant border town of Chau Doc and explore by rickshaw before journeying onwards to San Pagoda atop Sam Mountain. Enjoy a unique experience meeting the monks and hearing about their age-old Mahayana Buddhist practices.

After a delicious lunch on board, spend the rest of the day relaxing, perhaps lounging by the pool, indulging in a traditional Khmer massage or learning the secrets of Mekong-inspired cuisine as you make your way towards the border into Cambodia.

Day 7

Koh Okhna Tey – Preah Prosop, Cambodia

Immerse yourself in a timeless age as you glide along the Mekong, watching as skilled Khmer artisans demonstrate centuries-old weaving and dyeing techniques that have been passed down through generations. If you’d like, you can explore the riverbank by bike, cycling past Buddhist temples and traditional thatched houses.

Later, visit the remote village of Preah Prosop, where rural life remains much unchanged by the developments of the modern world.

Day 8 Accommodation

Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Arrive in Cambodia’s elegant capital, Phnom Penh. Tour its sights on an enthralling tuk-tuk tour, marvelling at the grandeur of the Royal Palace and the intricate beauty of the Silver Pagoda. Travel to the airport and fly to Cambodia’s south coast, where the pristine private island resort of Song Saa awaits.
