Introducing you to the diverse provinces of English-speaking Ontario and French-speaking Quebec, this independent itinerary takes you to four of Eastern Canada’s most vibrant urban destinations. From Toronto to Montreal, with time in Ottawa and Quebec City in between, you’ll travel between cities in business class aboard VIA Rail’s fast and modern rail service, enjoying a comfortable and relaxing journey through Canada’s countryside. Luxurious hotels in prime city locations are the perfect base from which to discover the history and culture of these Eastern Canadian metropolises, whilst an excursion from Toronto to the awe-inspiring Niagara Falls promises to be a truly unforgettable day.

ITINERARY HIGHLIGHTS expand_more

Explore the diverse neighbourhoods of Canada’s largest city, Toronto, and perhaps take in the views across Lake Ontario from the top of the CN Tower.

Cruise to the base of mighty Niagara Falls, and feel the mist on your face as you approach the powerful twin cascades of the American and Horseshoe Falls.

Visit in winter to enjoy snow- and ice-themed activities at Quebec City’s annual carnival, or to skate on Ottawa’s frozen Rideau Canal.

Enjoy fine dining with a French-inspired twist in Montreal’s vibrant restaurant scene, or just tuck into an authentic poutine (chips, cheese curds and gravy), a celebrated favourite of the Quebecois.

Authentic Experience

The fertile soils around Niagara Falls are home to many of Canada’s best vineyards, from small independents to well-known producers such as Inniskillin. The region is also famous for its ‘ice wines’, where the grapes are left on the vine past the traditional harvest period until the temperature drops to approximately minus 8°C. Sample the unique flavours of the local vintages during a day trip from Toronto to Niagara Falls.
