Start your day as the sun rises to catch sight of the wildlife as as it awakens. Explore Amboseli National Park's diverse ecosystems, with its open plains, acacia woodland and marshes, all set against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro before returning to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. Later, there's plenty of time to relax in your tent and enjoy the amenities of the lodge. Or perhaps you'll chose to visit a nearby Massai village or participate in a conservation activity.
Travel to the Masai Mara by charter flight and check into your luxury accommodation, Angama Mara. Perched on the Great Rift Valley with unrivalled views across the plains, the lodge offers just 15 glass-fronted tented suites set across two camps, as well as a central pavilion with an infinity pool, gym, design studio and deck for making the most of the breathtaking surroundings. After a delicious lunch, head out on the first game drive of your stay. The Masai Mara is renowned for its exceptional population of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants and of course the annual wildebeest migration. As the sun sets, return to the lodge for a sundowner on the escarpment edge followed by a sumptuous dinner.
More thrilling game drives await during the next two days, including visits to the Mara River and seeking out specific wildlife. You can also take the chance to visit a local village to learn about the culture, traditions and way of life of the Maasai people. Evenings are always an occasion at Angama - sip a cocktail and watch the sun descend behind the Rift Valley from the sublime vantage point of the boma before enjoying a performance of traditional singing and dancing. Dining options range from a candlelit meal in your Tented Suite to a memorable dinner in a lantern-lit forest.
