While here, you can also enjoy an utterly once-in-a-lifetime marine encounter. Between mid-March and late July, experience the indescribable feeling of swimming with mighty whale sharks (the planet’s largest fish!) while early-August to the end of October is when humpback whales are often seen in the surrounding waters. On your last day, you will fly back to the UK.

Full Day Tour

You will be met at your hotel by your guide and vehicle for a small group sightseeing tour of Sydney, the ultimate way to experience the beauty of the city. Enjoy a drive around the historic Rocks precinct, visiting the Observatory Hill and the convict-built cottages, the first church in Australia, continuing around Circular Quay, the Opera House and onto Mrs Macquarie’s Chair situated on the water’s edge, to enjoy magnificent views of Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House. Travel through Woolloomooloo, Kings Cross, where the nightlife is legendary, and into Rushcutters bay. Enjoy lunch at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, Australia’s premier yacht club and home of the famous Sydney to Hobart Yacht race. Then, continue your tour around the scenic harbour and see some of Sydney’s most sought-after addresses. Pass by Double Bay, Rose Bay and Vaucluse before arriving at Sydney’s famous Bondi Beach. Return to the city, via Oxford Street and Paddington, arriving at Darling Harbour where your yacht awaits for a cruise around Sydney Harbour. After an incredible two hours on the world’s most beautiful harbour, your vessel returns to Darling Harbour. Here you may decide to eat out at any one of the dozen or more restaurants, stay and enjoy the entertainment, before returning to your hotel.

Rottnest Island
Full Day Tour

Hop aboard the ferry from Fremantle to Rottnest Island, one of Western Australia’s most treasured islands. On arrival, choose to enjoy one of the many activities available - from a relaxing ride on the Island Explorer, unwinding on the beautiful beaches, or cycling around the island. Explore the iconic historical sites, including the Bathurst Lighthouse, before lunch along the water’s edge. Go in search of the super cute quokka on the world-famous quokka walk, learning more about this iconic marsupial. Visit the island’s museums and World War II relics, before boarding the ferry back to Perth.

Swimming with Whale Sharks or Humpback Whales in Ningaloo Reef
Full Day Tour

Join a small group and expert guide as you explore the delights of the Ningaloo Reef, either swimming with whale sharks (if travelling between April and July) or Humpback Whales (if visiting between August and October). As you travel into the reef by boat, a spotter plane will lead overhead, searching for the spectacular species, as well as turtles, rays, dolphins, dugongs and sea birds. Learn more about the area's marine biology, join in with the data collection of vital scientific research, and snorkel at various sites along the UNESCO listed reef. A light morning tea, lunch and snacks throughout the day are included.

BEST TIME TO TRAVEL

 In the southern half of Australia, December to February bring hot weather, while March to May is also a great time to visit. June to August is less busy and good for exploring and hiking, while September to November is great for wildlife spotting
