    DAY 1-4 DETAILS ACCOMMODATION

    Ideally located between the shimmering Arabian Gulf and the western Al Hajar Mountains, Muscat is a scenic, safe and spellbinding city that offers plenty to explore and discover. A half-day tour with a private guide will show you around Muscat’s many highlights – including the simply spectacular Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, an impressive example of contemporary Islamic architecture that can accommodate 20,000 worshippers at once! Enjoy the multisensory magic of the Mutrah Souq, where traditional textiles, jewellery and cuisine are sold, before experiencing rich Omani culture at the Royal Opera House. Historical Nizwa
Full Day Tour

After being collected from your hotel, venture to the House of Amouage to experience one of the world's finest fragrances. From here, visit the Fort and the Souq of Nizwa, before stopping for a picnic or lunch in a local restaurant. The afternoon will showcase spectacular architecture, including Bahla Fort - the first Omani fort to be built in Islamic style - and Jabreen Castle, beforebefore you head up to the traditional mountain village of Al Hamra to visit Bait al Safah living museum.

Majestic Muscat
Half Day Private Tour

This half-day tour starts with a visit to the Sultan Qaboos Gran Mosque. The main chandelier of the architectural masterpiece is made of pure Swarovski crystal and the carpet adorning the large prayer hall was woven by experts, made out of pure Persian silk. The Mosque exterior is constructed with quality Rajasthani Sandstone and the main halls, as well as the smaller prayer roooms, are adorned with the finest Italian marble. The Mosque is surrounded by five minarets, each of which symbolizes the holy five vows taken by every devout Muslim to reinforce his faith.

From the Mosque, you will head to Mutrah to see the fisherman in action at the fish market followed by a walk around the traditional Souq. Next, you will head down the coast to old Muscat where you can spend some time learning about Omani history in the Beit al Zubair museum - with its display of archaeological finding and Oman national dress and jewellery. From here to the Sultan's Al Alam Palace and the historic Jalali and Mirani forts, which still guard the natural harbour.

BEST TIME TO TRAVEL

Generally, Oman is sunny year-round and rain is minimal, apart from some higher regions. The best time to visit is from October to March, when temperatures are pleasant and cooler than the heat of summer.
