Boston is a clever city; it's buildings are innovative, the architecture is crafted for 21st century living and the students belong to an academic elite. Both Harvard and Boston University are in close proximity and the city enjoys a young, optimistic vibe for this reason. Premier attractions include the John F Kennedy Library and Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Skywalk Observatory. Follow the students to an arty independent cinema showing new-age films or head over to Agganis Arena to watch Boston University's basketball and hockey teams. Alternatively, escape the students and head to North End, Boston's Italian neighbourhood. Jam packed with restaurants, cafés and bakeries, there is no avoiding the heady smell of freshly baked bread and rich tomato sauce. Absolute bliss. Walking and jogging trails are in close proximity to the hotel - the Boston Common and Charles River bike paths are only blocks away.

Summer is the hottest time of year in Boston, with an average temperature of 80 degrees and high humidity levels. December, January and February are the coldest months, with the most snowfall. Spring and autumn’s temperatures are the most moderate, and because Boston is part of New England, it is particularly delightful in the autumn (September to early November) when the leaves of the many trees change colour, turning the whole region into a work of living art.
