A reinvented landmark hotel of the Golden Era, Fontainebleau Miami Beach offers contemporary design and a glamorous history – Hollywood celebrities, including Marlene Dietrich, Frank Sinatra and Jerry Lewis, visited Bleau Bar in the 1950s and 1960s. Today, there is the addition of LIV, the uber-fashionable nightclub, whilst eight restaurants – three with AAA Four Diamond Awards – serve everything from steaks to Italian cuisine. There is also Lapis Spa, a gym, swimming pools with cabanas for hire, children’s activities for 4 to 12-year-olds, luxury boutiques, the long, golden stretch of beach just steps away and a private marina with yacht charter available. When you’re seeking your sanctuary, all 1,504 guest rooms – which include one-bedroom guest rooms to three-bedroom suites – offer state-of-the-art luxuries, including flat-screen televisions and 20” iMacs® with internet access.

Hotel Experiences

Fontainebleau Miami Beach is home to the world-renowned nightclub, LIV, where popular singers, bands and DJs regularly perform. A truly decadent venue, only open to adults over the age of 21, LIV regularly plays host to celebrities, VIPs and Miami's party crowd, and for those wishing for a truly spectacular evening, there's the option of hiring one of six private Skyboxes, offering bottle service, banquettes and secure purse drawers. Completely voyeuristic, LIV's fabulous interior design means that patrons can see and be seen practically anywhere within its walls. Open from 11pm to 5am (Wednesday to Sunday), this is a lavish, exclusive party venue where you really do need to dress to impress!

Climate

Boasting sunny days – up to six hours of sunshine a day – November to May (winter) is a pleasant time to visit Florida. Winter is almost tropical in climate – very mild, but sometimes with relatively short periods of cold weather, however frost and snow is not very common. From June to October (summer), you can expect higher temperatures and increased humidity. Sunshine hours can peak to as many as ten, but afternoon cloud build-up can lead to heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Florida has the most thunderstorms of any of the states, and sometimes these are severe tropical storms, or even hurricanes. June to November is hurricane season with the months of August and September being particularly susceptible.
