May to August is dry and relatively cool; September to October is warmer still and remains dry; while November to April experiences more rain, though still with warm temperatures. Wildlife

The vast Serengeti National Park covers an area of nearly 13,000 square kilometres and is home to resident populations of lion, cheetah, giraffe and elephant.
