Wildlife Encounters At Uga Chena Huts

Wildlife encounters abound here. On the beach, there's the chance to spot Sea Turtles and elephants and to the other side of the resort, a saltwater lake where, with luck, you'll spot Painted Storks, ibises and flamingoes wading in the water. Better still, join an excursion and explore the tangled greenery, ticking off some forty species of mammals and over 200 kinds of birds! Highlights include leopards, crocodiles, Flying Snakes, Fan-throated Lizards and the flamboyant peacock. Also on offer are dolphin and whale-watching tours from Mirissa, further afield but easily arranged in resort.
