Luxury Beach

Swimming in the sea is possible year-round in Petite Anse Bay, as the sheltered, horseshoe-shaped, bay is protected from strong currents and larger waves. The bay's sandy beach is stunning and reputedly one of the most beautiful in the Seychelles. Perfect for relaxation, guests can spend their days topping up their tan, reading a good book and savouring drinks and light meals brought to them by the dedicated beach butlers - who will even clean guests' sunglasses, should they need it. Off the beach, guests can enjoy snorkelling, kayaking, paddleboarding and catamaran sailing. In addition, this is the only resort on Mahe Island to have a surf school, offering expert guidance.

Scuba-diving is available at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles and the nearby Takamaka Bay offers a wonderful place in which to enjoy underwater exploration, with huge granite rocks submerged under the clear aquamarine-coloured ocean that may be explored. The Seychelles has no fewer than six marine parks that offer a year-round experience for scuba-divers and snorkellers alike. The popular Shark Bank offers the opportunity to dive amongst Stingrays and Puffer Fish, while snorkellers and divers can discover a multi-coloured frenzy of pretty tropical fish, Hawksbill Turtles and Whale Sharks in the spectacular, clear waters in and around the island of Mahé.

The resort has a Marine Education programme, which will appeal to wildlife lovers and those guests who are particularly interested in conservation. Head to the Coral Cabana, near to the beach, to meet the resort's conservation specialists, WiseOceans, who will be delighted to share their knowledge of the underwater wildlife to be found in Petite Anse Bay and can even take you on a guided snorkelling trip. In addition, the resort is currently in the process of transplanting 16,000 pieces of coral fragments to the resort's coral nursery through its Reef Restoration Project.
