Today, GoldenEye is an award-winning hotel owned by Chris Blackwell, the Jamaican-raised founder of Island Records. Unsurprisingly, the atmosphere here is palpable, being firmly rooted in the arts, music and culture. Luxury Beach

GoldenEye's lush grounds are sprinkled with hideaway coves and beaches lapped by warm, blue seas. Croissant-shaped Low Cay is the main beach, an expansive swathe of silky-soft sand with a castaway feel. Button Beach, meanwhile, is a delightful little cove with a rum shack for refreshing pitstops in between sunbathing and watersports. Swim with fish in Snorkeler's Cove, paddleboard around Oracabessa Bay, kayak along the craggy coastline or splash about in the tranquil lagoon. Round off a day with a torchlit barbecue on a secret beach, rippling waves and reggae music the backdrop to amazing food.
