Luxury Holidays At Explora Rapa Nui
Explora Rapa Nui offers superb service and modern, cutting-edge accommodation on Easter Island (otherwise known as Rapa Nui and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995). Constructed of concrete, stone, glass and wood, this curve-shaped luxury lodge is the first LEED-certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) hotel in South America, with just thirty unique guest rooms and suites, all boasting red clay roofs and picture windows through which guests can admire the superlative, peaceful views of the far-reaching surrounding landscape. Located in Te Miro Oone, amongst four square miles of countryside, the lodge is wonderfully remote, with only the distant formations of Moai statues to interrupt your view down to the Pacific Ocean. Guests can enjoy a variety of excursions, from gentle ambling, snorkelling and fishing, to more treacherous volcano hikes, but there is also a bar and restaurant, as well as leisure facilities including an eliptically shaped swimming pool with surrounding wooden deck, a massage room, Jacuzzi and sauna. To aid the restful ambience that abounds here, guests will only find wi-fi in the public areas of the lodge and will be unable to 'channel-hop' as there are no televisions in the guest accommodation.
