Beach Life in The British Virgin Islands with Elegant Resorts

Elizabeth Beach, on Tortola Island, is a broad, white-sand bay trimmed with palms ideal for picnics and swimming. In contrast, there are frothy waves to enjoy at Apple Bay that are perfect for surfing. The Baths, on Virgin Gorda, are a geological wonder of coves strewn with gigantic boulders, caves and pools, while the magnificent beach at Little Dix Bay is embellished with those iconic boulders again and, just around the corner, a pristine slice of silky-soft sands known as Savannah Bay are speckled with shells.
On Peter Island, there are five milk-white stunners, wrapped in tropical beauty. Deadman’s Beach, a mile-long stretch of swaying palms and turquoise seas is a heavenly spot for sunning, swimming, snorkelling and devouring wood-fired pizzas and sticky ribs. Even more spectacular is White Bay Beach – opposite Norman Island – an eye-popping beauty and great for spotting Sea Turtles. Honeymoon Beach is rather aptly named, while on the windward side of the island next to the spa, Big Reef Bay and Beach is the best spot for beachcombing or an early morning jog alongside the surf-bashed shore. Add to these the bijou bays and superstar shores of Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island and the new Branson Estate on Moskito Island, for an indulgent slice of exclusive barefoot luxury.
