Day 1Welcome to Basel

Fly to the Swiss city of Basel and board your Scenic Space-Ship for your seven-night cruise along the Rhine.

Day 2 Kehl and Strasbourg

Upon arrival in Strasbourg after a leisurely sail, enjoy a guided walking tour through the city or journey into the Black Forest to learn the secrets of the eponymous Black Forest cake. Alternatively, visit a local wine cellar in Mittelbergheim for a tasting before visiting the enchanting town of Obernai.

Day 3 Rastatt and Baden-Baden

Spend your morning in Baden-Baden with a visit to a spa, a walking tour or a trip to Schloss Favorite, the oldest of the German ‘porcelain palaces’. For something truly special, end the day with a private classical music concert at the Baroque Palace of Rastatt.

Day 4 Mannheim

Known as a ‘chessboard city’ due to its grid-like streets, Mannheim is home to some of the world’s most brilliant engineering minds, including Carl Benz, founder of Mercedes Benz. Take in the sites as you enjoy a walking tour of Heidelberg or drive to Bad Durkheim for a tour of a family-owned vineyard.

Day 5 Koblenz

Cruise along the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage-listed Rhine Gorge before arriving in Koblenz after lunch. A melange of French and German influences and one of Germany’s oldest cities, spend your afternoon in the winding streets of the Old Town on a guided tour, uncover the past as you explore Reichsburg Castle or kayak along the Moselle.

Day 6Cologne

Known for its laidback atmosphere, unique beer culture and the jaw-dropping cathedral that dominates its skyline, Cologne is simply magnificent. Wander the laneways of the historical Old Town, learn about one of the city’s namesakes, Eau du Cologne, on a guided tour of the Farina Museum or discover the rich motor heritage at Motorworld.

Day 7Amsterdam

A treasure trove of architectural beauty, masterpiece-filled galleries and tranquil boats upon 16th-century canals, Amsterdam promises something for everyone. Explore on foot, cycle around the bicycle capital of the world, take a canal cruise to see the city's sights from the historical waterways or visit the renowned Fabrique de Lumières.

Day 8 to 10 Hotel de L'Europe, Amsterdam

Disembark and conclude your trip with a three-night stay at the romantic Hotel de L'Europe, a five-star hotel founded on the remains of a late medieval fortress. Set on the banks of the river Amstel, this iconic hotel is ideal for exploring the city before your return flight to the UK.
