Where To Go On Holiday in November

November is the perfect time to give yourself a travel-fuelled boost, as the UK weather starts to turn colder. Discover our array of destinations, perfect for travel this year.

Autumn in America

The United States is a vibrant smorgasbord of activity at any time of year but if you're seeking some winter sun, Florida and Arizona are ideal settings if you wish to to leave the UK's autumnal chill behind. Florida's plethora of attractions extends beyond the iconic theme parks, with some of the world's finest golf courses, beaches and family facilities awaiting your discovery. In Arizona, the cuisine and culture of Scottsdale make a perfect antidote to the British winter, whilst the dreamy desert setting is nature's answer to a sanctuary for the soul. Equally, November is a particularly perfect time to take a bite out of The Big Apple. Pre-Christmas Chill Out in The Caribbean

What better way to banish 'bah-humbug' feelings brought about by this time of year than by taking off in search of sunnier skies and the laid-back living of the Caribbean. The captivating Caribbean climate is getting into its prime in November and the benefits of travelling before high season mean you can have your pick of beaches and rum shacks. Barbados is a winter favourite of any seasoned traveller, with a bounty of beguiling experiences to enjoy. Barbados is famed for its food, sport and rum-rich beach culture and November is the perfect month to enjoy the very best of 'Little England'. Antigua has one of the driest climates in the Caribbean and is known for its 365 beaches, one for each day of the year, but the wealth of watersports, diving and the historically significant, Nelson's Dockyard ensure there's more to this stunning island than simply sun loungers and sunsets. The lavishly lush landscape of St Lucia, dotted with jasmine, wild orchids and scarlet flowers, has captured the hearts of travellers for generations and has cemented the island's status as the most picturesque in the Caribbean. The iconic Piton Mountains are an explorer's dream, whilst the charming Caribbean nightlife of Rodney Bay Village keeps the vibrant island spirit alive.

Beat The Winter Blues in Mexico

Mexico's majestic coastal stretch, Riviera Maya, boasts world-class beaches, exemplary golf courses and a whole host of hotels showcasing five-star spa facilities and stunning views. With a sub-tropical climate keeping temperatures amiable all year round, Mexico is a perfect destination for November. The beautiful beaches and turquoise-coloured waters speak for themselves but if you can resist the pull of the poolside cocktails, the underwater masterpiece of the Great Mayan Reef, ancient Mayan civilisations and ecological reserves, such as the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Sian Ka'an, can provide enriching distractions.

Mid-Winter Magic in The Middle East

Dubai's sizzling temperatures continue throughout November, making a welcome change from the dreary skies of home, and with all new theme parks and attractions recently opened the city that has it all now has even more to offer! Abu Dhabi is another great destination for November, with plenty of cultural and captivating sites to see, not to mention the all out decadence of the region's stunning luxury hotels and resorts. Abu Dhabi will also play host to an important Formula1 fixture this November at the exhilarating Yas Marina Circuit, so it is an ideal time to see the city at its most invigorating. As the 'Jewel of the Middle East', Oman has an impressive reputation for good reason. Short-haul Happiness

Don't be mistaken into thinking that November is not the time to visit Europe. Whilst the temperatures might not reach the heady heights of the East, the relatively dry and crisp climate of the continent at this time of year ensures there is plenty to see and do throughout Europe this winter. The iconic Christmas Markets are, undoubtedly, the main attraction at this time of year and November is a particularly perfect month as there are fewer crowds. Of course, the big cities have plenty of other delights to enjoy, the food, art, culture and style are just as inviting in winter and with short flight times from the UK, you can enjoy a magical city break in just a single weekend. Rome, Venice, Barcelona and Paris are all lit up from late November and with our perfectly located collection of luxury hotels, boasting some of the finest bars, restaurants and views, you definitely don't have to travel too far to warm up your winter.

The Best of the Rest

If, like the birds, you'd like to fly south for the winter there are plenty of far flung destinations to be explored this month. Enjoy an Indian Summer this winter by indulging in some spice and sophistication in a most iridescent setting. India's cities are unforgettably unique and November boasts more amiable temperatures than the height of summer so you can enjoy exploring without the dizzying heat. Alternatively in Asia, November is a great time to visit Vietnam. The south is dry and warm at this time of year, making it a particularly perfect opportunity to experience the showstopping serenity of Six Senses Con Dao. For something truly exceptional, turn your luxury travel experience into an Asian adventure by allowing us to create for you an itinerary that includes a stay in Saigon, followed by before travelling to Siem Reap in Cambodia, where the Temples of Angkor Wat are truly spectacular. In Africa, November marks the beginning of Botswana's low (or green) season but the rain usually stays away until at least December. Botswana boasts some of the world's best luxury safari experiences and November is the ideal month in which to enjoy them as guests can enjoy the same conditions as they would in high-season but for a fraction of the price. Alternatively, delve 'Down Under' with a luxury holiday to Australia. Endless sunshine, golden beaches, diverse cities and world-class diving on the Great Barrier Reef ensure Australia is a worthy winter wonderland.

At just three months old I began a lifelong love affair with travel. Since that first holiday to Barbados, I've since visited over 50 countries. My favourite travel memories are an incredible safari in Botswana and sipping Champagne at the top of the Eiffel Tower.
