Plan Your Perfect Luxury Barbados Holiday

There's nowhere like it...

A paradise of palm trees, white sands, turquoise waters and cultural curiosities, Barbados is a destination that's very close to our hearts. In fact, the Elegant Resorts vision started with our adoration for this enchanting island more than 30 years ago! To this day, our dedicated team have extensively explored the island, allowing them to use their first-hand experience and strong supplier relationships to carefully craft your dream getaway. Plus, it's currently on the government's green list, meaning there's no need to quarantine when you return!

Our Island Office

Even whilst you're unwinding in Barbados, we're right there with you. Our dedicated team of Elegant Resorts staff are on hand to help, day and night. They know the island inside out and will act as a personal concierge throughout your stay; greeting you at the airport, guiding you through fast-track security services and continuing to assist with anything you may require.

Barbados for Romance

Though filled with adventures, the island also has a seriously serene side, making it fabulous for honeymoons, anniversaries or couples simply wanting to get far away from the everyday. Days can be spent walking hand-in-hand along some of the world's most beautiful beaches, making memories together as you swim alongside gentle turtles, or admiring the sunset as you sail by luxury yacht. Away from the coast, you can stroll through the peaceful ambience of Hunte's Gardens - a picturesque botanical haven formed of 'mini gardens', backed by the sound of continuously playing classical music. In Barbados, the opportunities are endless!

A romantic retreat awaits at Fairmont Royal Pavilion, set on possibly the island's most superb beach with half a mile of white sand and jaw-droppingly clear water. After embracing the Caribbean Sea with a wealth of watersports, lovers can toast to each other with cocktails as they admire the spellbinding sunset, before a tikki torch-lit private dinner on the beach. Intimate and laid-back, The Sandpiper is a boutique-style hideaway in yet another beautiful beach setting. Don't miss drinks at legendary Harold's Bar, renowned for the special charm of its namesake bartender, Harold Shepherd, who will always be there to greet you with a grin.

Barbados for Families

With the promise of warm tropical weather, soft white sand, clear aquamarine water and a fabulous collection of luxury hotels and private villas, Barbados is a firm favourite for luxury family holidays. From paddling in the safe, serene waters and sailing the coast by catamaran to exploring Harrison's Cave (an eerily stunning underground cave system) by guided tram, there's so much to keep visitors all of ages busy.

When it comes to where to stay, nowhere on the island quite does sand-between-your-toes, all-inclusive family luxury quite like Tamarind by Elegant Hotels on the west coast. Tots and toddlers will love the Flying Fish Kids' Club's extensive programme of games, crafts and island activities, while increasingly independent teenagers can make new friends with volleyball on the beach or a game of pool in the ultra-cool teen lounge. Along the coast, legendary Sandy Lane is a dream for the most discerning families, welcoming little VIPs to The Treehouse Club for arts and crafts, drama and games, as well as older children to The Den for movie nights, 'mocktail' parties and silent discos. Throughout the well-equipped Treehouse Club, kids will also find a games room, featuring pool tables and foosball, along with board games, a jukebox and computer stations for tech-savvy teens!

Barbados for Wellness

There's something about just being in Barbados that invites you to chill out, let go of any stresses and live right there in the moment... and that's before you discover the many serene spas on the island! With wellness at its core, Waves Hotel & Spa by Elegant Hotels is a blissful Bajan bolthole that promises pure relaxation and all-inclusive luxury. Unwind and rejuvenate your body and soul at The Spa at Waves, choosing from a host of locally inspired treatments that use natural ingredients - from tropical flowers to grapefruit to coconut. In fact, one (or more) complimentary spa treatment is included in each stay, depending on your number of nights and room type. Embellished with exotic flora and soothing waterfalls, the spa at Coral Reef Club sets the scene for complete serenity. Enjoy everything from an island-inspired lemongrass and ginger body scrub, to a calming Caribbean massage and a classic pedicure, before a delicious and nutritious spa lunch.

Barbados for Culture

When you think of Barbados, chances are your mind instantly conjures up images of powder-white sand and the cyan-coloured water of the Caribbean Sea. Of course, that's all true, but this inspiring island also boasts a rich history and plenty of cultural treasures to uncover. Head back in time as you explore St Nicholas Abbey - an immaculately preserved Jacobean mansion built in the 1660s and filled with fine antiques - or enjoy a guided excursion of the UNESCO-listed, 17th-century Barbados Garrison. You may also wish to visit George Washington House for an insight into how Barbados played a role in the settlement of America, or those travelling with families can venture to Arlington House Museum in Speightstown for an engaging and interactive museum experience. Another huge part of Bajan culture? Rum! Head to the Mount Gay Rum Distillery to discover the origins of one of the world's most famous rums, perfected over 300 years. as well as tasting this terrific tipple.

Barbados for Foodies

Good food is a key ingredient for any luxury holiday and Barbados is the Caribbean's capital of cuisine. From classic Bajan dishes - think flying fish, rice and peas, and macaroni pie - to lavish lobster platters and international delicacies, you can dine across the globe whilst staying within this 21-mile island. The Cliff Bistro, The Lone Star, Sea Shed and Round House are just some of our personally recommended restaurants. Our expert concierge will be delighted to suggest some more and make your reservations - so all you need to do is dig in! Cobblers Cove (a luxurious, English country house-style hideaway on the northwest of Barbados) is home to the highly regarded Camelot Restaurant. This elegant eatery is all about celebrating local produce, and resident fisherman Barker brings his fresh catch to Bajan chef Jason Joseph each day.

Barbados for Sports

If beaches, culture, relaxation, adventure and dreamy dining weren't enough, Barbados is also pretty close to paradise for sports lovers. The balmy, year-round climate makes it a blissful destination for golfers, whether you're near scratch or just starting out. Golf-lovers have a huge variety of courses to choose from - with enough to play a new course each day for a week! Sandy Lane takes golf very seriously, home to three world-class courses (including the Tom Fazio-designed Green Monkey) all of which have played host to golf's biggest names in the past. Visually, this trio of golf glory surpass your every expectation, but there is infinite substance with the style! If golf isn't your thing, perhaps you wish to watch some of the world's best jockeys in the Sandy Lane Barbados Gold Cup, or combine watching first-class cricket with a luxury Caribbean holiday. The Kensington Oval is where you can see big, international matches during the season.
