From start to finish me and our group were treated to the most sensational stay in Dubai at Atlantis The Royal, filled with all kinds of fun. The service was fantastic with a casual flair, making you feel comfortable amongst the vast grandness of the property.
Upon arrival into
Dubai International Airport we were met by Elevate, Elegant Resorts' ground handlers, and transported through the City and onto The Palm. We could see
Atlantis The Royal from afar, making its sister property
Atlantis, The Palm look tiny in comparison. I was in complete awe of the uniqueness and size of the building as we approached the property.
The rooms and suites were beautiful, with large high ceilings, lots of space and beautiful views over the resort, ocean and The Palm. And the staff were so efficient, attentive and observant of everything that was going on around them. nothing was too much trouble- Sam Blohm
On our first morning we were treated to a champagne breakfast in the Club Lounge. We could eat and drink as much as we wanted here and it was all available from 7am until 10pm, including the glasses of Moet which is the hotel's house champagne. I'd definitely recommend upgrading to Club Level, as the value versus cost is impeccable!
We were spoilt for choice with dining spots; all are out of this world and really attentive to dietaries. For lunch on our first day, we dined at the quirkiest American diner Malibu 90265, serving not your typical burgers and chips but the most beautiful classic foods like stacked pancakes and lobster rolls with a modern twist. I did opt for a classic 'Coca Cola Float' to wash down my cauliflower tacos, vegan hummus with feta cheese, and modern club sandwich though!
The atmosphere in here was really unexpected, with a cool 1950's theme and a retro jukebox playing sounds from the 50s, 60s and 70s.- Sam Blohm
Later that evening we were all lucky enough to experience a cocktail master class at the across two restaurants: Resonance by Heston Blumenthal, and Milos. Our cocktails were carefully partnered with light snacks whilst channelling the resort's modern flair, and the hosts were so knowledgeable about their products. We had an Elderflower cosmopolitan paired with a squid dog.
Dinner the first evening was served in La Mar by Gaston Acurio which overlooks the spectacular water fountains, serving the most delicious Peruvian culinary.
"La Mar By Gaston Acurio serves the most delicious Peruvian cuisine, and as a vegetarian I was really surprised how well catered for I was. I recommend dining family style so you can try lots of different dishes you may not otherwise think to order" - Gemma Dobson
The second day we opted for breakfast in the world's best breakfast restaurant ever (in my opinion) Gastronomy which has a very New York style food market. For breakfast you can indulge in a vast selection of foods from fresh pastries, fruits, hot breakfast, sushi, pizza, pasta, your typical English breakfasts, a wide variety of cheese and cold meats and not forgetting its very own chocolate tap, with free-flowing white, milk and Belgium chocolate, along with an ice cream station and sweet station for both big and little kids. There's even a vegan market serving the most mouth-watering dishes and juices in the most vibrant setting.
Could this be the world's best breakfast? Definitely allow for a few hours at breakfast to ensure that you try all the options!- Nicola Killen
We were transported from
Atlantis The Royal to Aquaventure via the hotel's exclusive golf buggy's as Aquaventure is next door at Atlantis, The Palm; it's less than a 2 minute journey away! We then spent the morning letting out our inner child, going on all the slides the World's Largest Waterpark has to offer. Odyssey of Terror was a personal favourite for me, it's the World's tallest waterslide!
Cloud 22 is an absolute dream - a real pinch me moment! After a thrill-filled morning, we spent the afternoon around our own private pool connected to a Cabana drinking Whispering Angel and listening to the most vibey tunes. If you want glamour this is the place! It's an Instagrammers dream, perfect for idyllic photo opportunities from the infinity pool overlooking The Palm.
We had such a fab time at Cloud 22. The view was amazing, but it also had a great atmosphere. The cabanas and beds can be pre-booked and they have different packages available- I would recommend pre-booking them.- Claire Lockley
Ling Ling by Hakkasan was a favourite for me. Wonderful food and a great ambience with views out over the palm, and a live DJ playing in the lounge area - Ling Ling makes for a great evening spot!- Gemma Dobson
