Luxury Cruising With Regent Seven Seas Cruises: My Return To The Sea

"I can't wait to return! It felt more like a luxury hotel than a ship! I almost forgot we were at sea!"

Recently, a colleague and I were lucky enough to be invited to spend three fabulous days on the Regent Seven Seas Voyager, and whilst it was short, we were able to fully experience the ship and every luxury on board. We joined the impressive ship from Civitavecchia Port in beautiful Rome after a whistle stop tour and set sail the next day!
With industry leading guest-to-space ratios and space for almost 500 guests, the Voyager felt like a luxury hotel, with first-class facilities, amazing eateries, and attentive staff that were willing to go above and beyond for you. On our first evening we dined at the newly refurbished Prime 7 which was definitely a highlight for me - the surf and turf was possibly the best I've ever had, and the cocktails were beyond amazing! We also enjoyed eating in Compass Rose, the ship's flagship restaurant which serves an exceptional variety of European-inspired Continental cuisine, and particularly enjoyed beginning our day with breakfast at La Veranda, with its gorgeous ocean views and delectable made-to-order omelettes.
Service at Prime 7
The ship offers only suites, with rooms boasting modern facilities and luxury amenities, and I was lucky enough to stay in the penthouse! It was all inclusive, so spacious, and promised complete comfort and ocean views, not to mention our own personal butler who was there for any requests we had - from free-flowing champagne to midnight snacks! We spent a lot of our time on board on the impressive pool deck, topping up our tans and taking in the sun's rays before enjoying a swim in the large, heated pool, but the ship also offered an abundance of entertainment and amenities, such as an exceptional spa complete with fitness centre, an impressive theatre with daily entertainment, a tranquil library, a putting green for golfing enthusiasts, and much more!
My Bedroom
Despite the ship boasting an incredible range of exciting entertainment and engaging on-board activities, one of the perks of a luxury cruise holiday is being able to explore different destinations along your journey with a range of included shore excursions. We stopped off in Corsica and explored the pristine town and beautiful beach with one of the included excursions which focussed on the life of Napoleon in our destination - The Highlights of Ajaccio. It was amazing being able to see Corsica as neither myself nor my colleague had been before! After a walk around the town, we spent our time in the little boutique shops before heading back to the stunning Seven Seas Navigator.
