The resort is located just outside the centre of Chania on a wide, soft sand beach away from the hustle and bustle and only a half-hour walk away from the atmospheric 16th century harbour. It is a pleasant walk along the seafront, or just a 5-minute drive.
We enjoyed spending time in the city; walking to the lighthouse, exploring the old city and its narrow streets, wallowing on terraces drinking delicious coffees and local wines, visiting the archaeological museum with it's Minoan treasures and the Maritime Museum. The food scene is booming in Chania, with a plethora of fantastic restaurants serving traditional and creative cuisine. Salis, on the harbourfront was a highlight and Tamam, in a narrow street behind the beautiful harbour serves authentic Greek family meals in a 15th century Turkish bath!
Domes Zeen Chania is a peaceful haven with its contemporary and minimalist architecture, it is a place to rest and reconnect, celebrating slow living. The accommodation is spacious with terraces, balconies and private pools and the main swimming pool is incredibly inviting while the spa offers a wide range of treatments sure to help forget the stresses everyday life. There is a private beach area just in front of the resort overlooking a clear blue Mediterranean Sea.
To say that the resort is family friendly is an understatement! The service is so welcoming and friendly, kids feel automatically at home with how well-equipped the kid's club is. It has its own pool and a lovely garden with a tent to play outside but also organises special activities and events including movie nights complete with pizza and popcorn, perfect to make new friends while parents can enjoy a date night.
This is the perfect resort for modern families who do want to make the most of their holidays, explore and discover new places and cultures while still being able to enjoy the perks of a resort offering serenity, space, a friendly service, excellent facilities, and activities for the whole family.
