Beyond the Strip: Events to Elevate Your Las Vegas Escape

Don't miss these events and experiences...

Las Vegas, Nevada is known as 'The Entertainment Capital of the World', and it's for good reason. The bright lights and buzzing atmosphere of this endlessly entertaining city are home to adrenaline-filled adventures, captivating shows and world-renowned dining. But in 2024, the city invites you to discover its cultural amalgamation of quirky experiences, surreal museums, celebrity sightings and sporting masterpieces.

See A Sporting Showcase at Super Bowl LVIII

After the arrival of the Allegiant Stadium in 2020, which became the home field for the relocated Raiders, the state of Nevada will be welcoming America's favourite sporting event in February 2024.
Though it is still to be seen which NFL teams will play in Vegas, the stage is certainly set, and expectations are high for the moment that the sporting spectacular meets the glitz of Las Vegas.
Super Bowl LVIII's logo had been designed with nods to its host city, with a silhouette of the Las Vegas skyline and a reference to the resort architecture in its slanted font. The Super Bowl Half Time Show has also drawn some attention, having been confirmed earlier this year to be a performance by Usher.
As Formula 1 is set to take to its Vegas stage this week, the buzz around the city's sporting events is only growing. Both the Las Vegas Grand Prix and Super Bowl LVIII will be going down in history no matter the result; with the Grand Prix being the first since 1985 to be staged at night, and the Super Bowl being the first ever held in Nevada. The Allegiant Stadium has also earned a place in history as the first NFL stadium to be powered by 100% renewable energy.

Grab Your Boots and Hat for Las Vegas' Country Events

Step into the rhythms of country music in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas, where the vivacious energy of the Country Throwdown at the Downtown Container Park awaits. The second Saturday of every month sees the open-air mall in the Fremont East Entertainment District transform into a dynamic country music showcase that's sure to get your feet tapping.
If you're after something a little higher pace, make sure to visit Las Vegas in December for the Wrangler National Finals. Taking centre stage at the Thomas & Mack Center, this renowned rodeo championship draws in spectators from far and wide.
The event runs for 15 days and has picked up the privileged title of 'the pinnacle of rodeo events', where the top rodeo contestants from around the world compete not just for the win, but for a stake in a multi-million dollar prize. Whether you're a seasoned rodeo aficionado or a first-time spectator, the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo promises an unforgettable fusion of skill, tradition and the indomitable spirit of the American West.

With a reputation for opulent dining, extravagant hotels and casinos in abundance, you may be surprised at the wealth of museums this city has to offer.
Some, like The Neon Museum, pay ode to Las Vegas' more famous attractions. Here, you can discover over 250 neon signs, each with a story to uncover, in the Neon Boneyard; or watch in awe at the Brilliant! light projection exhibit which delves into the city's intriguing past. Others are sure to entice art enthusiasts, with works by renowned artists like Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali at Park West Fine Art Museum & Gallery Las Vegas at Caesars Palace.
Guests who may wish to delve into the weird and wonderful side of Las Vegas are sure to love the Paradox Museum. With highlights including the reversed room and the gravity-challenging paradox tunnel, this museum's extraordinary experience of optical illusions and mind-bending exhibits is one to remember!

Take a Look at Las Vegas' Newest Entertainment Venue

The MSG Sphere
The MSG Sphere, a futuristic marvel on the Las Vegas Strip, has captured global attention with its cutting-edge visuals and unique design. This recent addition to the Las Vegas strip was first illuminated on the Fourth of July before opening to the public that September, and ever since it has had us hooked.
From the outside, The Sphere has been transformed into a monumental-sized tennis ball, gigantic emoji, and mighty depictions of the moon, mars and earth. It has even been used as a distinctive billboard to promote everything from the NBA Summer League to the release of Playstation's Spiderman 2 game.
Inside though is a world of entertainment, with the venue hosting U2's residency until February 2024; The Sphere is even set to hold its first sporting event in September 2024 as the UFC expresses interest in hosting a historic fight within its walls. The MSG Sphere promises to redefine entertainment on the iconic Las Vegas skyline.
