How could we put anything but the Sydney Opera House for the letter S? This architectural marvel has been a landmark and icon of not only Sydney but all of Australia since its completion in 1973. Since 2007, it has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site list and was shortlisted for consideration for the New 7 Wonders of the World.
