Nestled in the tranquil Franschhoek Valley, La Residence enjoys an idyllic location in the heart of the Cape Winelands. Featuring its own thirty-acre working farm – complete with vineyards, plum orchards, a dam and fragrant manicured gardens – much of the fine dining produce (including the wine) is produced on the property. Characteristic of all properties within the resplendent Royal Portfolio, guests can surrender to highly personalised service, sublime cuisine and spectacular suites, while all rooms and suites are uniquely designed to incorporate unusual antiques and sumptuous soft furnishings. Options include the white marble Frangipani Suite, the exotic Tibetan Suite or the romantic French boudoir-style Chambre Suite. There is also a selection of glamorous villas, some with private pools, set slightly away from the main property in the vineyard. Each is individually decorated and perfect for families with children of any age, though only children over 12 years are permitted at the main property.
