Located in northern Rwanda and situated next to the stunning Volcanoes National Park, Bisate Lodge (meaning ‘pieces’ of eroded volcano in Kinyarwanda), blends beautifully into the lush mountain landscape. Recently opened, this innovative lodge was born out of a desire to increase the population of the Critically Endangered mountain gorilla, along with promoting high-end ecotourism in Rwanda. Comprising a cluster of just six conically-shaped thatched villas, welcoming a maximum of twelve guests, Wilderness Safaris ‘sophisticated and sustainable fully-inclusive lodge sits in a dramatic natural setting – that of an eroded volcanic cone — providing luxurious interiors with breathtaking vistas from the viewing deck.

As the best location for a holistic gorilla experience in Rwanda, guests can embark on an enriching wildlife-encounter amidst the spectacular backdrop of the brooding Bisoke, Karisimbi and Mikeno volcanoes.
