ELEGANT TRAVELLER
Baghvan, A Taj Safari - Pench National Park Blogs
Located on the edge of the lesser-known Pench National Park, adjacent to a stream and amongst lush forest, the intimate Baghvan, A Taj Safari - Pench National Park gains its inspiration from the iconic Bengal Tiger (Baghvan means 'tiger forest'). The contemporary lodge boasts just twelve guest bungalows, meaning that there are only a maximum of twenty four guests at the property at one time, plus a swimming pool, lounge area, open-kitchen, safari shop and a library. The park, meanwhile, comprises teak jungle, streams and hilly terrain and is home to a range of animals (some predators) and over three-hundred bird species, including tigers, leopards, wild dogs, hyenas, wild boars, parakeets, eagles, kingfishers, hornbills and fruit bats. While here, guests are able to participate in twice-daily jungle safaris, guided nature walks, bird-watching, excursions to local villages and elephant-back safaris (subject to availability).
