The scenery here is awe-inspiring and it's not hard to believe that the Maori 'tohunga', or holy men, came here to be initiated into their priesthood. Today, guests are free to do as much or as little as they wish. Twelve superbly appointed suites feature four-poster beds, open fireplaces, a fully-stocked bar and built-in views of the magnificent ocean.
