Fazenda Santa Esmeralda is located seventeen kilometres outside of Bonito, set in lush parkland and gracing the banks of Rio Formoso river. Accommodation consists of four charming self-contained bungalows with spacious verandas and brightly coloured hammocks, while the main building houses the lounge, living room and an open canopy-style bar and restaurant that serves lunch and dinner. Very much an aquatic paradise, guests can swim in the river, freshwater pools and miniature waterfalls, or paddle downstream on a complimentary kayak and sunbathe on the riverside deck.
